Aquarium Show: “Aqua Ornamentals 2006”
As part of the giant stride towards the popularization of ornamental fish culture and aquarium keeping among the rural people, P. G. Department of Zoology organized an “AQUARIUM SHOW 2006” from 15th to 19th September 2006 at Sree Narayana College, Nattika. Irrespective of the adverse weather conditions, more than 20,000 viewers including School and College students, teachers and rural people experienced the exhibition.

Refresher Course for Higher Secondary Teachers
One day refresher course on “Newer Trends in Zoology” was organised for Higher Secondary & VHSC teachers on 26-1 0-2007. More than 70 Zoology teachers in and around Thrissur District attended the refresher course. Teaching faculty of P.G. Dept. of Zoology handled various sessions.

Medical Camp organized in association with AIMS Ernakulam
A free medical camp was organised by the Department in association with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre (AIMS), Emakulam on 191t1 January 2008. More than 700 patients got benefit from this camp. Medicines were distributed free of cost. Telemedicine unit of AIMS conducted lab test at the camp site. Dept. of Gen. Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Oral cancer detection were participated
